Note 1: (a)
Relaxable for Government servants up to Five
years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the
Central Government.
(b) The
upper age limit in respect of SC/ST/OBC/PH challenged and other special categories of persons shall be relaxable
in accordance with the orders issued by Central Government from time
to time in this
regard.
Note 2: The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing

Educational

Qualifications &
Experience required:
|
Essential:
1) Ph.D in the
relevant subject or
2) Masters
Degree in Engineering from a recognised university or
equivalent with at
least (55%)
in any specified subject/relevant area with 2 years rele vant experience;
or
3)
Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering from
a recognised university or equivalent with at least first class (60%)
in any specified
subject/relevant area with
4 years of
relevant experience;
or
4) Holding
analogous posts on a regular basis; or in the pay scale of PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100+GP of Rs.5400/-., with 3 years
experience in a
Government/Semi Government institution.
Relevant/Specified Subject/Relevant area:
Naval Architecture, Naval Architecture & Ocean
Engineering, Ocean
Engineering, Naval Architecture &
Ship Building, Naval
Architecture & Marine Engineering, Marine Technology
with
specialization in Ship & offshore structures.
Relevant Experience:
Experience in Construction, design, modeling and
analysis of Ships/offshore
structures in a design organization/shipyard or Plan
approval functions in specified subject/relevant area in a
classification
society/statutory bodies.
OR
Teaching and Research in an academic
Institution/Research &
Development Organisation /Laboratory in the field of ship & offshore
structures.

Note: For
candidates possessing higher
qualification in relevant
subject, the relevant experience will be considered in totality
prior to and after acquiring the higher qualification.
Desirable:
Should be familiar with structural design codes,
standards, FEM analysis etc. Good communication skills, reliable
and self
motivated.
