Note 1: (a)

Educational
and other
Qualifications &
Experience required:
|
Essential:
1) Ph.D in
the relevant subject
with 4 years of
relevant experience;
or
2)
Master’s degree
in Engineering from
a recognised university or equivalent with at least (55%) in any specified subject/relevant area
with 7
years of relevant experience; or
3)
Bachelor’s degree of
Engineering from a
recognised university or equivalent with at least first class
(60%) in any specified
subject/relevant area with
9 years of relevant experience; or
4) Holding
analogous posts on a regular basis; or
In the pay scale of PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100+GP of Rs.6600/- ; with four
years of experience in
Government / semi Government
institutions.
Relevant/Specified Subject/Relevant area:
Naval
Architecture, Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Ocean
Engineering, Naval Architecture &
Ship Building, Naval
Architecture & Marine
Engineering, Marine
Technology
with specialization in hydrodynamics.
Relevant Experience:
Experience in Hydrodynamic design, modeling and analysis of Ships/offshore structures in a design organization/shipyard or Plan approval functions in
specified subject/relevant
area in a
classification
society/statutory
bodies.
OR
Teaching and Research in an academic
Institution/Research & Development Organisation / Laboratory in the field
of Hydrodynamics.
Note: For candidates possessing higher
qualification in relevant subject, the relevant experience will be
considered in
totality prior to and after acquiring the higher qualification.
Desirable:
Should
be familiar with model testing, hydrodynamic
experiments,
CFD modeling & software's.
Good communication skills, reliable and self motivated.
Should have led a team of designers/ Scientists/ Surveyors/
researchers
on major projects for at least 1 year.
