Experience required:

Essential:
1) Ph.D in the
relevant subject with 9
years of relevant
experience;
or Master’s degree
in Engineering from
a recognised university
or equivalent with
at least (55%) in
any specified
subject/relevant area with 12 years
of relevant experience; or
4) Holding
analogous posts on a regular basis; or
In the pay
scale of PB-3
Rs. 15600-39100+GP of Rs.7600/- with four years of experience in Government/ Semi
Government Institutions.
Relevant/Specified Subject/Relevant area:
Naval
Architecture, Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Ocean
Engineering, Naval Architecture
& Ship Building, Naval
Architecture & Marine
Engineering, Marine
Technology
with specialization in Naval Architecture.
Relevant Experience:
Experience in Basic & Detailed design / construction
of Ships/offshore structures in a design
organization/shipyard or Plan approval functions in specified subject/relevant
area in
a classification society/statutory bodies.
OR
Teaching and Research
in an academic
Institution/ Research & Development Organization / Laboratory in
the field
of Ships/offshore structures Design.
Note: For candidates possessing higher
qualification in relevant subject, the relevant experience will be
considered in
totality prior to and after acquiring the higher qualification.
Desirable:
1. Should be
familiar with integrated
ship design software's such as TRIBON/ FORAN or equivalent. Good
communication skills, reliable
and self motivated.
2. Should have led
a team of designers/ Scientists/ Surveyors/ researchers on major projects for at least 6 years.
