Educational

Qualifications &
Experience required:
|
Essential:
1) Ph.D in the
relevant subject with 14 years of relevant
experience;
or
2)
Master’s degree in Engineering from a recognised
university
or equivalent with
at least (55%) in
any
specified
subject/relevant area with
17 years of
relevant experience; or
3)
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering from a
recognised
university or equivalent with at least first class (60%)
in
any
specified subject/relevant area
with 19
years of
relevant experience; or
4) Holding
analogous posts on a regular basis; or In the Pay scale
of PB-4 Rs. 37400-67000+GP of Rs.8700/- with Five years of regular
service in the
Government/semi
Government
Institutions.

Architecture, Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering,

Relevant Experience:
Experience in Basic & Detailed design / construction
of
Ships/offshore structures in a design
organization/shipyard or Plan approval functions in specified subject/relevant
area in
a classification society/statutory bodies.
OR
Teaching and Research in an academic
Institution/Research & Development Organisation/Laboratory in the field
of Naval
Architecture/Ocean
Engineering.
Note: For candidates possessing higher
qualification in
relevant subject, the relevant experience will be
considered
in
totality prior to and after acquiring the higher qualification.
Desirable:
1. Should be
familiar with ships/offshore structures
construction, design and analysis codes, standards and software's. Good communication skills, reliable and self motivated.
2. Should have
led a team
of designers/ Scientists/ Surveyors/ researchers on major projects for at least
10 years.
