Online Jobs in Army

As India was moving towards e governance, it was a matter of Time that their internal establishment move towards online.  Indian Army now inviting their potential candidates to apply for jobs online through a dedicated online portal.

              www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

We are not sure if this is was part of Digital India programme, however we are sure you all will appreciate this move from India Army.

Now the candidates applying to be soldiers or junior commissioned officers (JCOs) will have to get themselves registered online through www.joinindianarmy.nic.in website.

The recruitment dates will be uploaded on the website.

Candidates would need to register to get a call for tests.

All these while people used to manually apply and attend in large numbers with credentials.  Now the connectivity to internet and mobiles phones is more than our postal coverage and accessibility is no longer a problem even for those aspiring for a soldier’s job, as connectivity is available in remote areas too.

Official Statement from Army:
“Col M K Joshi, the commanding officer of Army Recruitment Office, Nagpur, said in a press conference the new system was aimed at streamlining the recruitment process. In an open rally, there could be no estimate of the number of candidates turning up. A prior online registration will give a clear idea of the numbers and preparations can be made accordingly.”

Army feels that this proposed system will help recruiting easy as it would give a clear indication of people who will turn up for the selection and also disqualify the unfit applicants.
