Govt Job: Navik Openings in Indian Coast Guard

JOIN INDIAN COAST GUARD (MINISTRY OF DEFENCE) AS
NAVIK (GENERAL DUTY) 10+2 ENTRY – 02/2014 BATCH

Applications  are  invited  from  unmarried  male  Indian  nationals  possessing  educational qualifications and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty)in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union. 

Educational Qualification:  

10+2 passed with 60% marks aggregate in total and  minimum  60%  in  each  subject  of Maths  and  Physics  from  an  education board recognised by Central/State Government (Maximum 5% relaxation only in  aggregate  marks  of  the  above  percentage  for  SC/  ST candidates,  sports person  of  National  level  (Interstate  and  above)  and wards  of  Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.) 

Age.    

Minimum  18  Years  and  maximum  22  years  i.e  between  01  Aug  1992  to 31Jul 1996. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)

The Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, offers a challenging and inspiring career  in  various  branches  as  a  Group ‘A’  Gazetted  Officer  in  the  rank  of Assistant Commandant  at pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay  Rs 5400.

Note.
(i)   Maximum 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate only for SC/ ST candidates, NCC ‘C’ certificate ( 'A' grade) holders, Sports person of National level (Inter State & above) and  Wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service. No relaxation for 12 th class marks.

(ii)  While short listing applications for call-up, priority will be given to candidates with higher percentage of marks.
