Job Description:
- They have a Data Scientist in-house but need Data Engineer / Big Data Engineer to help put those models/algorithms in actual code). Here are more details:
- Strong experience with software development using general-purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, C++)
- Strong experience with data platform, pipeline configuration and common components (Spark, Hadoop stacks) Proficiency with modern software development tools
- Strong English - written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with machine learning methods and frameworks is preferred
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (MS preferred)
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
