The Border Security Force (BSF) is a Border Guarding Force of India. Established on December 1, 1965, it is a paramilitary force charged with guarding India's land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime. It is a Union Government Agency under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs.It is one of many law enforcement agency of India.It currently stands as the world's largest border guarding force.

I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING
SHORT
TERM
CONTRACT)/ ABSORPTION/
RE-EMPLOYMENT
Officials under the Central Government or the State Government or Public Sector Undertaking holding
analogous post or in the grade of Pay
Band-2(Rs.9300-34800
plus Grade
Pay of Rs.4200/-)
with five years
regular
service in the
grade and
possessing qualifications and
experience prescribed below :-
(i) (a)
Three years Diploma
in the
relevant
trade recognized by
Directorate General Civil
Aviation;
or
(b) Group ‘X’ Diploma in
the
relevant trade
issued by the
Indian Air Force;
(ii) Minimum
experience of eight years
in Aircraft or Helicopter
maintenance
with three years
maintenance experience on
Border
Security Force type
of
Aircraft
or Helicopter (to be
prescribed from time to time)
II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) Deputation/ Re-employment
The Armed Forces Personnel due
to retire or
who are to
be
transferred
to reserve within
a
period of one year and having the
requisite experience and
qualifications as prescribed at
(i)
and (ii) above shall
also be
considered.
Such persons would
be given deputation term up to the
date on which
they are due
for
release from the
Armed Forces,
thereafter they may be continued
on re-employment.

(ii) Re-employment
The
retired Armed
Forces
personnel possessing
qualifications
and experience as
prescribed at (i) and (ii) above, and
held analogous or equivalent post
in the Armed Forces of the Union
and the break in service should not
be more than two years.
Note:1. The
maximum age limit
for
appointment
by deputation
shall not be
exceeding 52
years on the date of receipt of
application.
2. Absorption can be effected
only in the
case of officers
from the Central
or State
Governments.

The modalities of the recruitment will be as under:-
(a) Last date for receipt of applications will be the last working day of the 12th month from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News (One year).
(b) Applications received within 30 days from the date of publication in Employment News will be considered in first lot.
(c) Applications received thereafter will be considered on a monthly basis or on requirement basis in respect of the unfilled posts till one year.
(d) Recruitment process of a post will be concluded on selection of suitable candidates. However, for the unfilled posts, applications will be received till the last working day of the 12th month from the date of publication of the Advertisement in Employment News.
